We searched the world over for the finest ingredients so our hot cocoa mix would only be made from the finest quality sugar and the richest cocoa. Why? So you could have at home the hot cocoa or mocha you would find only in finer coffee houses and restaurants. Unlike many other hot cocoa products found on the grocery store shelves which list a full paragraph of ingredients (many of which cannot be pronounced), our gourmet hot cocoa mix contain only two high quality ingredients - cocoa rouge cocoa powder and evaporated cane juice sugar. Our cocoa powder's intense yet subtle Dutched bittersweet character with rich, deep-red color, robust, fudge-like flavor and full chocolate essence is the perfect complement to our naturally sweet and organic evaporated cane juice sugar. What is the difference between Hot Cocoa Mix & Sipping Chocolate? The easiest distinction between the two versions of this beverage is that one is made with melted chocolate (sipping chocolate or drinking chocolate), whereas the other version is a powdered combination (hot chocolate or hot cocoa). Our Legacy Chocolates’ Sipping Chocolate is characterized by it’s thicker consistency, and the fact that it comes in liquid form in a bottle kept refrigerated. It is ready to simply heat and serve. Our Hot Cocoa Mix on the other hand is a powdered combination of Dutch-processed cocoa powder and evaporated cane juice sugar that needs to dissolve in either steamed milk or hot water (preferably the former). Today, hot chocolate is consumed throughout the world and comes in multiple variations including the very thick cioccolata densa served in Italy, and the thinner hot cocoa beverage that is typically consumed in the United States.
